Mattituck active shooter response training
2nd Assistant Chief Christian Hojenski, August 21
Departments across Suffolk County came together in Mattituck to train in the scenario of an active shooter. Flanders Ambulance was standing by with the gator in case an actual real world emergency happens at the drill. Flanders also sent an ambulance with a crew to participate in the training. Recently a Flanders VAC member has been unexpectedly diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer and has been hospitalized. the Flanders VAC Officers and Members are hosting a Chinese Auction Fundraiser to help raise money and offset the burden that has separated this family during the Holidays.
