On Saturday 5-18-2024 Flanders Ambulance conducted a training using the departments electric and hydraulic tools. To some members it was a new experience and to others it was a refresher. It is a important piece of equipment on the ambulances if the ambulance crew needs to make an emergency extraction of a patient. On Tuesday May 14th Flanders Ambulance was dispatched to a vehicle vs tree on 104. Upon arrival there were two patients involved. The medivac was requested but was cancelled a few minutes later. Flanders ambulance dispatched two ambulances to stabilize both patients involved. One patient was immediately taken to a local hospital and the other patient soon followed to a local hospital. On 5-8-2024 Flanders Ambulance was dispatched to a motorcycle crash on Flanders Road and Evergreen Road. No one that was involved in the accident were trapped in the car and all self extricated. It was apparent when arriving on scene that a helicopter was needed for a patient involved in the accident.
